In very contest the artist will receive a plaque and the contestant a trophy that will read”My Tattoo Artist F’n Rocks” As Well As The Category You Won.
Sleeve, Male & Female
two awards for each sex, must be at least a 3/4 arm coverage sleeve as determined at registration. Can include chest.
Back Piece, Male & Female
two awards for each sex. Must be at least 75% coverage of back as determined at registration.
Overall, Male & Female
one award each sex. Judged on overall coverage and quality of work.
Color Portrait
three awards, must have picture to go along with your tattoo so judges can determine how accurate the portrait is!! This is color portrait and includes, people and animals.
Black and Gray Portrait
three awards, must have picture to go along with your tattoo so judges can determine how accurate the portrait is!! Must contain NO color!! if it has even one color, your in the color portrait, the only exception is white highlights.
Black and Gray Large
Three awards. Size will be determined at registration. Must be all black and gray with no color.
Black and Gray Small
Three awards. Size will be determined at registration. Must be all black and gray with no color.
Color Large
three awards. Size will be determined at registration.
Color Small
Three awards, Size will be determined at registration.
American Traditional, Male and Female
Two awards for each. Must be determined to be American Traditional at registration.
Traditional Oriental, Male & Female
Two awards for each. Must be Oriental Design as determined at registration.
Tattoo of the day
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, two awards each day, one for color, one for black and gray, this tattoo must be done from start to finish on the convention floor the day of the contest, no exceptions. If you had it outlined before, sorry, your out!! In this event the award goes to the artist who did the tattoo as the award includes a tattoo machine.
Cover Up
This is a live judged event, you must have a before picture of the tattoo to enter this contest. There is two awards for this category.
Overall Exotic Piercing
One award each. Most exotic piercing category covers all piercings. Judging for this contest will be in private for all genital work.
Overall Decorative Piercing
one award each. this category is decorative and includes surface, dermal and non permanent decorative piercing. All judging is public and is not open to genital piercings.
2nd Annual My Tattoo F’n Sucks Award
This contest is for the worst tattoo at he show. One Award and a gift card to get your tattoo covered or repaired!!
Best Booth
one award for the best looking and laid out booth at the show.
Best Tattoo Of Show
this is for the best overall tattoo done at the show!!contest. This is the big award.
Color Flash
must be in street style format, no bigger then 11x17. Two awards, this contest will be held Friday and will be judged by all artist in attendance.
Black & Gray Flash
must be in street style format, no bigger then 11x17. Two awards, this contest will be held at the Friday will be judged by all artist in attendance. No color allowed!
Fine Art
There will be three awards given out. Please read other contest info as we will have a separate category for Photography and skate deck.
Skate Deck
Three awards for this popular and growing category.
Photography, New Category for 2012
Two awards will be given out for this category. Must relate to tattooing in some way, but also in any way
New for this year we have several contest for kids. Every kid will receive a medal for participation at the awards and winner will receive a trophy. You may pre-register for all these events!!
Kids Art
Three Awards for best art one for each 2-5yr old, 5-9yr old and 10-13 year old. Can be any medium but must be tattoo related!!
Temporary Tattoo
three awards, same as above. Can be drawn on, stick on, or painted on
Jr DC Pin UP-Girls only category
Three awards, same age group as above.
-Saturday evening at 5pm
-Female Contestants Only Please!!
-Girls dress up in your best old school pin-up get up for a chance to win Miss Dc Pin Up 2012 and walk away with $500.00 in cash!!
-Over $1000.00 in total cash and prizes
